All hail the lioness queen of the jungle: Beyoncé. The world-famous songstress and pop star posted a picture on Instagram that has already amassed over 2.5 million Insta likes. It shows Queen Beyoncé in all of her blinding glory as she stands directly facing a ‘real’ lion. More accurately, she stands facing her alternate personality/character, ‘Nala’ from ‘The Lion King’. But one or the other, they’re both the same! We all know about the inner lioness that obviously lives inside Beyoncé.
Now, Beyoncé (and the rest of ‘The Lion King’ re-make crew) has been teasing the new movie for quite some time. Set to release on July 19, everyone who has ever had a Disney-influenced childhood (or is still having one) is highly anticipating the movie. And what could go wrong? After all, Beyoncé is in it! Voicing the character of beloved Simba’s lover and best friend, Nala, she has made the movie extra special.
Moreover, Disney critics and fans have sky-high expectations from ‘The Lion King’ remake. And Beyoncé isn’t about to disappoint. With her strong, soothing, lioness-like voice, she re-made some of the most highly-anticipated Lion King music tracks such as ‘Can You Feel The Love Tonight’. A few weeks ago, we even got to hear a clip of what her voice will sound like as Nala.
Even appearing for an interview after 6 years, Beyoncé is teasing the new Lion King in the most lioness way possible. We sure hope that the hype being created around the remake leads to the Disney standard being expected!
Beyoncé and The Cast Come Face-to-Face With Their Lion King Characters
Moreover, Beyoncé isn’t the only one who came face-to-face with her Lion King character! Disney ensured that we got a good look of the talent and glory behind all of the movie’s stars. Or in other words, “the pride”. The powerful images serve as a smart tactic to help promote the upcoming movie.

Meanwhile, this isn’t the first time Beyoncé exhibited her inner lioness. In fact, exactly one month ago, the Lemonade star posted a Lion-King-inspired look when she arrived at an event enveloped in a stunning, lion-esque dress. At the annual Wearable Art Gala with her daughter Ivy, she arrived wearing a bold, sparkly gown-jumpsuit. This just further proves that she was made for the role!
