One Day At A Time is returning for a Season 4 now that a CBS Corporate owned cable network Pop TV has rescued it from the doom of cancellation. Pop TV, which is known as the American home of the hit Canadian comedy Schitt’s Creek had initially tapped on the opportunity of reviving One Day At A Time immediately after its cancellation. But several legal and streaming-related restrictions limited the transition. of a prestigious web-series from a streaming giant to a much smaller cable network.

Pop TV president Brad Schwartz remarks that he found several similarities between the cancelled Norman. Lear sitcom and Pop TV’s main eyeball-grabber Schitt’s Creek. Through their emotional beats, and stories of inclusion, acceptance, and kindness, Schitt’s Creek and One Day At A Time, were. both, apparently telling the same tale from a thematic point of view. And this idea ultimately laid the foundation for the revival of One Day At A Time At Pop TV. But
