It took five days for Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan to shoot the wedding scenes in Starz television series, Outlander.

Outlander, the drama based on Diana Gabaldon’s time travel book series of the same name is all set for season 5. This Ronald D. Moore creation has, in fact, received worldwide acclamation for all it’s four seasons. It’s the story of Caitriona Balfe as Claire Randall, a married nurse who in World War II ( 1945) was thrown back to 1743 Scotland. In this era, she met the Scottish warrior Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) as well as caught up in the Jacobite rising.

The familiar star cast including Caitriona Balfe, Sam Heughan, Sophie Skelton, Richard Rankin is back on the set in Scotland to film the fifth season of the series. Claire (Balfe) and Jamie’s (Heughan) in fact, continue their life story in North Carolina.
As a matter of fact, the Fraser family is still based in North Carolina, and Jamie is struggling to get back his land legally.
The Five-Days Scandal Teases Sam Heughan
In addition to the much awaited season five teasers, its a news for Outlander fans that the wedding episode of season one took five long days to shot. A recent Tweet from Sony Pics At Home UK revealed this Friday Fact.
In response to the Sony Pics tweet, popular actor Steven Cree got hilarious and mockingly commented on Sam Heugan’s performance. Moreover, the actor himself is playing the popular role of Ian Murray in the same series.

The seventh episode of Outlander season 1 is titled Wedding. Claire and Jamie tied knots in this episode. This relationship threw Claire between two men in different circumstances. Claire and Jamie marriage might have saved the couple from Randall. Later, the couple, eventually, realized their feelings for each other.
Season four’s finale though unfolds many twisted sequences. Yet, it left a big room for fresh plots. We all know that now Fraser-Randall-MacKenzie and family are taking their places in the tale. However, a promising treat from season five is the fresh entries of Fergus ( César Domboy) and Marsali (Lauren Lyle). The couple resides at Fraser’s Ridge with their son Germain.
The three centric couples teased a video on June 1st, the World Outlander Day.
“Last season was the bridge between our old world and this new world, and now that we’re really settled in, there’s a lot of events wrapping up,” Balfe said. “History has a way of pulling the Frasers into it.”
The release date for season five is yet not confirmed.
