Alonzo Bodden Is Bringing His Comedy Special To Amazon Prime Soon

If Netflix’s June comedy specials failed to have you impressed, then it may be time to renew your Amazon subscriptions. And that is only because Alonzo Bodden is coming there with a basket of funny, heavy-weight, lightweight, and intelligent jokes. The stand-up has just announced that Amazon Prime Video will stream his hour-long comedy special this Summer. The act, titled ‘Heavy Lightweight’, will cover an array of prominent social and political, albeit in insightful humour. Bodden and Amazon are; however, yet to announce a release date for the former’s special. What is coming to Amazon Prime in July June 2019

The Last Comic standing winner already has several acts and projects up for retail on the brand including, Who’s Paying Attention, Tall, Dark And Funny, and Seemed Like A Good Idea At That Time. Now he is set to add another feather to his illustrious cap with Heavy Lightweight. While not much is known about Bodden’s special at the moment, fans can expect a lot of jokes about Trump and his recent visit to England, something Bodden evidently has a keen interest in. Alonzo Bodden Performances And Filmography

Alonzo Bodden has performed on numerous television shows, including The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Late Night with Conan O’Brien, Make Me Laugh, Late Friday, The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn, Comedy Central Presents, and It’s Showtime at the Apollo. Bodden also has several voice roles to his credit, including Power Rangers: Lightspeed Rescue, Masked Rider, and O’Grady

Alonzo Bodden is currently hosting the travelling version of Family Feud on GSN, Family Feud Live. His last TV stint was Fresh Off The Boat, where he appeared in a guest role.

Bodden’s New Podcast With Dr Barry Glassner “Fear Not”

Bodden has also recently launched a podcast with best-selling author and sociologist Dr. Barry Glassner. ‘Fear Not’ by Glassner and Bodden puts research and humour to use to debunk fake news and filter out authentic pieces from a cluster of mostly misstated data.

In 2010, Bodden high-sided his Ducati 1098 while racing at Buttonwillow Raceway Park. The crash shattered his scaphoid, requiring surgeries and a bone graft to fix.
