Beyonce Appears For Interview After 6 Years
For the first time in six years, the Lemonade album singer Beyonce has appeared in an interview again. But for her first celebrity interview after 2013, the singer spoke about more than just her husband Jay Z. In fact, this time she elaborated upon the 2019 Wearable Art Gala which is hosted by her mother Tina Knowles. But she delivered the interview in a lion couture to refer to her role as Nala in the upcoming live-er action remake of The Lion King.
Beyonce Discusses WACO Theater Center and Lion King in New Interview
For the majority part, the Lemonade album singer focused on talking about the theater that her mother and her husband Richard Lawson founded. The WACO Theater Center allows young artists with a space so that they can share their work. Lawson and Knowles believe that art is a representation of their history. And this will help young talent black artists in getting their due. She shared that,
My mother and Richard believe that art is a representation of our history. Right now there’s a shift, in these incredibly talented emerging black artists getting their due. I love so many great African-American artists, and I’m just so excited that these young black artists are getting their due.

During the interview, Beyonce dressed up in lion couture which could be both for the theme of the gala, and also her upcoming Lion King movie. For her, this is even more exciting because that’s the only red carpet she gets to walk along with her husband Jay Z and children. Furthermore, she grew up watching Lion King, and this marked her first appearance as somebody from the cast. She revealed that,
My daughter gets to dress up and my husband, and this year it’s Lion King which, obviously I play Nala. So it’s the first time I’m doing any appearance as a person that stars in The Lion King, which is something that I grew up watching.
Looks like this interview is enough to last us another 6 years!
