Pretty Little Liars Will Leave Netflix In July

Freeform’s beloved teen drama, Pretty Little Liars, is bidding farewell to Netflix on July 27th. The streaming service has recently confirmed that the iconic teen-mystery will exit its station in six weeks, so fans ought to complete their binge-watching before its too late. Pretty Little Liars on Freeform hails as the first project on The Pretty Little franchise. I. Marlene King had developed the show taking inspiration from Sara Shephard’s novel series of the same name. The series revolved around the lives of 4 high school friends whose lives were thrown into a murky mystery following the sudden disappearance of their leader. The show had aired between 2010 and Freeform, while it has been available on Netflix since July 2017.

What’s Leaving Netflix In July 2019: Pretty Little Liars

Yesterday, Netflix Tweeted,

“7 seasons, 160 episodes, 125 threatening texts, 10 A’s, and too many lies to count. On July 27, we have to say goodbye to Pretty Little Liars on Netflix in the US. You have six weeks to rewatch but if you want to go all Mona on it, it’ll take 6 days & 16 hrs to watch it in one go.” 

Fans Threaten To Cancel Netflix Subscriptions

Fans are logically agitated over the departure of Pretty Little Liars from Netflix. As Netflix tweeted about losing Pretty Little Liars, fans stormed the comments with angry GIFs and crying emojis. Most of them have warned about discontinuing their Netflix subscriptions while others are just upset that Netflix is no more the same. What is leaving Netflix in July 2019

Will Pretty Little Liars Go To Disney+ ?

Speculations are rife that Pretty Little Liars is leaving Netflix only to accommodate for its shift to Disney’s upcoming streaming service Disney+. The launch of Disney+ has brought the streaming giant into direct competition with Disney. And this has earlier led to the cancellations of all Marvel presentations on Netflix. Fans are also contemplating to shift to Hulu as it is also under Disney’s ownership. Which means that they the show won’t leave Hulu anytime soon. What is leaving Netflix in July 2019

Franchise And Spin-offs

Pretty Little Liars has earlier given birth to two spin-offs, Pretty Dirty Secrets and Ravenswood, each of which was cancelled after its freshman run. As Pretty Little Liars concluded its seven-season run in 2017, it was swiftly picked up for another spin-off series following the release of Shephard’s second novel volume: The Perfectionists. Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists thus began airing on Freeform beginning on March 10th, 2019.
