Russian Doll To Be Renewed for Season 2
The Netflix hit Russian Doll is all set to start over. The critically acclaimed series has been picked up for another season by Netflix. At the CODE Conference in Arizona, co-creator and star Natasha Lyonne herself announced Russian Doll season 2. But looks like we don’t know much about other details yet.
All That We Know About Upcoming Season of ‘Russian Doll’ at Netflix
Natasha Lyonne shared that the season was just the same, but this time it was weirder than the first one. Now that we have an idea of what to expect from the show, we are still waiting for more insights. But Lyonne played safe, and did not reveal much except that she would simply love to do a second season. She claimed that,
The character is a coder, so it would be appropriate to have this be the time and place to say, yes. So very much yes, I would love to do [a second season].
For this popular Netflix series, Lyonne, Amy Poehler, and Leslye Headland served as co-creators and executive producers. But Natasha and Leslye also served as writers and directors alongside Jamie Babbit who was also a director. The show was produced by Universal Television, Paper Kite Productions, JAX Media, and 3 Arts Entertainment.
Season 1 was the story of Nadia portrayed by Lyonne as she got caught in an endless loop of attending her birthday party and dying at the end of the day. But looks like there is no death after death. Every time she died, the night would begin again at that very exact moment. It looks like her character in the show is very much like her own self. Natasha Lyonne talked about the role and its portrayal sharing that,
I’m 100 percent in there and most definitely the architect of the whole thing. At the same time, the question became — how do we cloak it in something? It’s not a one-woman show, so what would be the most fun way to tell you this story?
There are no plot details out for season 2. In fact, Russian Doll Season 2 does not have a release date as of now. But lets wait for more details!
