The Good Place Will End After Season 4
The popular surreal NBC comedy drama The Good Place will conclude its television journey with season 4. The upcoming season which will mark Kristen Bell’s directorial debut begins in the Fall. But it has been confirmed in a statement by creator Michael Shur that season 4 will be the last. While fans are definitely not ready, the cast might be preparing to say their final goodbyes to The Good Place!
Michael Schur Announces Season 4 to Be The End of ‘The Good Place’
In the statement posted by creator Michael Schur to Twitter, it was confirmed that the NBC drama won’t return for another season. But this has nothing to do with any problems in the network or series. Apparently, the producers and writers believe that four seasons and around 50 episodes are the correct lifespan that The Good Place needed. He added that even though it is very tempting to carry on this rare show, they do not want to stretch it enough to ruin the whole thing. Therefore, it is best if they conclude the series with upcoming season 4.
In his statement, Michael Schur also thanked NBC and Universal TV for allowing them to make The Good Place. Not just that, but also for letting them end it according to their own schedule. He also paid his regards to the on-screen and off-screen team for letting it happen. He concluded his statement saying that they looked forward to a great final season.
