Apparently, Ariana Grande is allergic to tomatoes, The Sweetener pop star ended up cancelling two of her Florida shows after experiencing a severe allergic reaction to tomatoes. She said that her throat nearly closed up because of the allergy. We’re assuming she could barely talk let alone get on stage and sing her high-vocal Thank U, Next songs to a huge crowd of fans.
In her words
Still feels like I’m swallowing a cactus.
She continued in all-caps:
There is NOTHING MORE UNFAIR THAN AN ITALIAN WOMAN DEVELOPING AN ALLERGY TO TOMATOES IN HER MID TWENTIES.

update: we discovered ….. that ….. i had an unfortunate allergic reaction to tomatoes and my throat pretty much closed. still feels like i’m swallowing a cactus but slowly making progress! thank u all for your love and understanding. can’t wait to get back to performing and to make it up to Tampa and Orlando in November. p.s. there is NOTHING MORE UNFAIR THAN AN ITALIAN WOMAN DEVELOPING AN ALLERGY TO TOMATOES IN HER MID TWENTIES…….
According to the New York Post, Ariana Grande’s sudden allergic reaction is actually fairly common. Apparently, allergies can develop out of nowhere. even if you didn’t have them before. Reactions can range from minor itchiness to hives to a stronger effect that could require serious medical attention. We’re hoping that the singer has recovered by now.
Meanwhile, the cancelled shows – May 28th in Tampa and May 29th in Orlando – have been rescheduled to November 24th and 25th. Grande’s tour has been long awaited since last year. In 2018, she released two albums in the span of six months: Sweetener and then Thank U, Next. Both of the studio albums became immensely successful and you can still find people humming the chill anthems the pop queen bestowed us with. Some tracks like 7 Rings and God Is a Woman garnered more attention and fame than the others.
