On the six-part BBC series, the world around Police Sergeant David Budd was intense, thrilling, and addicting. So logically the show concluded its fans were left craving for more. Richard Madden Discusses The Possibility Of A Bodyguard Season 2 On The Ellen Show

Recently, when Richard Madden was on The Ellen Show, Ellen DeGeneres asked the Game of Thrones alum if there is going to be a Bodyguard Season 2. The host even pointed out that now that the show was a nominee at numerous award shows, the chances must definitely be high. Madden responded to the host by telling her that he is hopeful for a second season too. Madden stated that the Bodyguard cast and crew have a crazy year ahead of them, so they would obviously throw some ideas around.

As they continued their conversation, Ellen and Richard reflected upon how The Bodyguard was ‘like Game Of Thrones’. Ellen stated that in every episode, a lot of people die. So, by the end of the freshman season, there was practically no cast left. Madden remained careful as to not drop any easter eggs, silently nodding to the host’s ideas. DeGeneres also pointed out that since Richard’s David Budd was a Bodyguard, he would logically have to protect someone else. Madden joked along with the host; thus, not dropping any significant clue during the comical- yet- wary interrogation.

Bodyguard Season 2 To Get A Release Date After 18 Months From The First Season

To keep this article from being spoiler-ly, we will avoid going into detail about the death count (and the dead people). But to comment logically on the possibility of a second season, it is necessary to revise that episode six of the first season led David Budd to become a very famous man in London. It will; hence, be unsound to have David go back to work immediately.

While addressing PA, Madden noted that the Bodyguard showrunner, Jed Mercurio, was eyeing a Season 2 release date sometime around, at least, 18 months after the events of the first season. Madden even added that Jed has a vast array of crazy ideas in his brain. And maybe, the next edition of Bodyguard will put Budd in a different place in terms of his morals.
