It’s been nearly two months since Netflix ruthlessly had One Day At A Time cancelled; the Cuban take on Norman Lear’s iconic sitcom. Putting to blame general lack of viewership for not allowing One Day At A Time to continue on with a Season 4, Netflix paid no heed to mass fan campaigns calling for the show’s renewal. Showrunner Gloria Calderon Kellett is; however, determined to bring the successful family sitcom back. The relentless creative had even plotted with friends Lin Manuel Miranda and Melissa Fumero to save her show. In fact, there were rounds that CBS All Access had shown a keen interest in picking up the show. However, soon the news of Netflix’s ability to veto any other network from acquiring One Day At A Time broke out. Thus, crushing all rumors. Kellett is; nevertheless, continuing her unabated struggle to bring back her show. She’s calling upon the ODAAT fans to vote for the show at the Tell Tale TV awards. The Struggle To Save One Day At A Time Continues

It was a dark day when Netflix canceled One Day A Time after its season 3. Ever since the show’s cancellation, its cast and crew, along with several other celebrities like Natalie Morales, have been fighting to save the show. Showrunner Gloria Calderon Kellet has established herself as an example for other executives through the efforts she’s been putting in to save her show. Kellet has a lot up her table, for instance, a free writing masterclass. Yet, she is pulling on every string to make her show come back to life again.

One Day At A Time on Netflix was a reboot of Norman Lear’s iconic 70’s sitcom. The new version of the show revolves around a Cuban-American family in LA and their struggles with mental illness, homophobia, and racism in the US — all timely issues that made the sitcom a critical success.
