The popular actor and comedian Hasan Minhaj has finally turned his third nomination in an Award show into a definite victory. The 78th Peabody Awards Hasan Minhaj for his show Patriot Act With Hasan Minhaj.
A Peabody Award honors the most powerful, enlightening, and motivating stories on television, radio or online media. After receiving his award, Minhaj has joined the Peabody and FX cable network partnership. As a winning writer, he is on board to work on the TV special airing this summer.
Hasan Minhaj Is Grateful He Can Piss Off Aristocrats Of The World
When honored at the 78th Peabody Awards, Minhaj thanked Netflix executives for letting him explore topics previously unknown to television. In fact, he put in a different, much more sarcastic manner claiming that he was grateful that they let him piss off autocrats all over the world. The show’s executive producer Prashanth Venkataramanujam made a point to thank all the journalists present in the room. He believes that without these reporters covering the news, political and cultural stories that Minhaj shares, the team would not be able to do what they do.
Now Hasan Minhaj along with FX and Peabody are working for the new program to air on television this summer. The comedian will moderate a round table with current and former Peabody winners. That includes Steven Canals (Pose), Paula Lavigne (Spartan Silence: Crisis at Michigan State), Terence Nance (Random Acts of Flyness) and Tracy Heather Strain (Lorraine Hansberry: Sighted Eyes/Feeling Heart). Not just that, but it will also feature footage from the 78th annual awards evening.
