Schitt’s Creek, a Canadian sitcom, 5th season has now started streaming on Netflix.
Schitt’s Creek’s 5th Season is out on Netflix
The fifth season of the hit Canadian sitcom is now streaming on Netflix. The show originally airs on CBS. However, besides this good news, there’s also bad news. Though the show has been renewed for a sixth season, it is also going to be the last.
What is Schitt’s Creek?
The show is about a wealthy family that lose all their wealth and lifestyle. They find themselves without a home or any means to buy a new one. The only resort this rich-turned-poor family has is to move to the town they bought, Schitt’s Creek. Once there, though they presume they wouldn’t be staying for too long. But things obviously go awry and they end up staying there for quite some time.
The cast includes Eugene Levy, Catherine O’Hara, Dan Levy, Annie Murphy, and several others. Dan Levy and Eugene Levy are the creators of the show and are playing playing lead roles of father and son. (fun fact, they’re father and son in real life too.)
What’s Going on in Season 5?
The show has come a long way. Stories have developed and characters have grown. Johnny (Eugene’s Character) who was set on selling the town and returning to his former rich life, has now found a business opportunity within the town. Meanwhile, his actress wife, Moira (Catherine O’Hara), has gotten more involved in the community. Their adult children, David and Alexis, both begin to flourish, with Alexis (Annie Murphy) going to college, working at a veterinarian’s office, starting her own company. Whereas, David opens up a store in town, and enters into a meaningful relationship.
It’s only available in UK, Ireland, South Africa, Australia and some other countries. It may not be available in other regions yet.
