Chris Hemsworth Talks About His Battle with Anxiety
It’s quite hard to imagine that Thor, a beautiful blonde God who’s fearless in the face of danger, would be facing mental health issues such as anxiety. While Hemsworth may seem like an invincible force, he sat down with Men’s Health to discuss his acting career. During the interview, Chris Hemsworth explained how at times he contemplated whether acting was made for him or not. It led to him doubting in his own abilities.
“I became more and more anxious, to the point where I couldn’t harness or use that energy.”
How He Overcame His Struggles
Chris Hemsworth further goes on to explain that he tried his very best to overcome his anxiety. Hemsworth told Men’s Health that,
“when you’re constantly self-analyzing, its ultimately a selfish endeavor…. the key is to look little deeper and analyzing it.”
Luckily for both Hemsworth and us, he’s past those struggling eight months he spent auditioning for Red Dawn. There are times where he has a hard time again but he is powering through.
Mental Health Is Important To Discuss
By speaking so openly about his Mental Health in an industry where toxic masculinity prevails, Hemsworth has shown a way in which other male actors can also talk about their mental struggles.
The trailer for his next movie, Men in Black has already been released and he’s also set to play Hulk Hogan in his biopic feature as the mighty wrestler.
