Game of Thrones’ Carice Van Houten (Melisandre) Urges Co-Stars To Stay Together
Melisandre (Carice Van Houten), the red woman is one of those few characters of Game of Thrones who never fail to surprise you. The fans weren’t in favor of her initially. No one could understand her importance in the story. But then we found out how significant she really was. First, she brought back Jon Snow when he Died. Then, she played an extremely crucial role in the Battle of Winterfell. Though she took the life of many innocent people along her way, the Red Woman knew she had a greater purpose to serve. And now that it’s over for her, the actress behind her isn’t done with the show. In fact, she wants all of the co-stars to stay in touch with one another even after the end.
The Woman Behind Melisandre
The antagonistic role of Melisandre is played by Carice van Houten. She is an incredibly talented actress who made us all despise her yet still respect her. And then finally, we started loving her.
That is why everyone was sad to see Melisandre go. Her role has apparently ended in the Game of Thrones since she died in Game of Thrones Season 8 episode 3. Carice van Houten just completed watching the episode 3 and this is what she had to say about the whole experience:
I’m all emotional. What an insane honour it has been to be part of a show that has connected us all. Let’s stay that way.
She shares her emotions with a snap taken of her on the screen. We can also see a very cute stuffed toy on top of the television.
Carice Van Houten: The Multi-talented
Carice van Houten is not just an actress. She is an amazing singer as well. The official video of her first song Emily came out on August 31, 2012. The album is titled See You On The Ice and it is available on Spotify and iTunes.
