Top TV Shows Find Themselves On The Brink Of Getting Cancelled

0 327

Okay, so May can be really scary. Kids have their exams, and well TV shows…. THEY DIE! Let’s just talk about last May. Brooklyn Nine-Nine almost got cancelled ( I mean it, of course, was cancelled but NBC we love you for saving it). Great News wasn’t given another chance- something that Tina Fey still complains about. And The Walking Dead was renewed, yet again. This May is; however, most probably going to be harsher on us. Since the number of TV shows, especially the under-performing ones continue to grow exponentially, Networks are always looking for a fine opportunity to pull the plug off them. Here are a few shows that you love, which are in great danger of cancellation.  Cancelled TV Shows, Renewed TV shows, The Orville Cancelled Or Renewed, Fam Cancelled Or Renewed, Murphy Brown Cancelled Or Renewed

Madam Secretary

CBS’ aspirational political thriller Madam Secretary has been around for quite a time now. It follows the routine life in the Oval Office, where President Dalton (Keith Carradine) battles it out with the international issues of contemporary times. And while he is at it, he seeks assistance from the Secretary of State Elizabeth McCord (Téa Leoni). Dishing her expertise out on the table, lobbying with the patriotic cabinet staff, and at times even reaching out to the real Madam Secretary, Elizabeth then saves the day.

After running for a good 5 seasons, there has come a saturation point- an alarming indication to why the show must go. The viewership is constantly fueling CBS’ despair. Hence, it would be a wise idea to let the show go, although after allowing it to wrap up with dignity in a sixth and final season. Murphy Brown Reboot

CBS definitely has more than just one TV show on the bubble. Following the footsteps on ABC’s Roseanne, CBS had rebooted its own knockout sitcom from the ’80s, ‘Murphy Brown’. The Murphy Brown reboot; however, only premiered to a devastatingly low viewership and partisan criticism. In fact, The ‘Wolf’ network hated the show so much that it made cries about its cancellation even before it could end its freshman run. Showrunner Diane English is hopeful that the network will allow the show another chance, and we really hope that it becomes the case. Fam

Comedies come and go on CBS. But mind you, Fam isn’t one of them. The marvelous comedy which catapulted the seasoned Nina Dobrev from her vampire fantasies straight to a more challenging comedic landscape, is also under threat from the axe. CBS had replaced Murphy Brown with Fam, and the latter debuted to better ratings. The chances for the show’s survival are still slim, as CBS wasn’t fairly satisfied with the gross eyeballs Fam had brought in.

Fam deserves a chance to stay, honestly. Especially when its lead star Nina Dobrev has been campaigning rigorously for its renewal, it would be too harsh to axe it.    Cancelled TV Shows, Renewed TV shows, The Orville Cancelled Or Renewed, Fam Cancelled Or Renewed, Murphy Brown Cancelled Or Renewed

Abby’s

What can be more disappointing than a Mike Schur comedy being on the bubble? Answer: Abby’s getting cancelled. Abby’s has just recently arrived at NBC, and it is certainly not doing great. Viewership is generally an issue and critics aren’t really happy with the show either. Natalie Morales is obviously a darling, but is she alone capable of keeping the show hinged? The answer would be….. YES. ABBY’S IS A GREAT SHOW NO MATTER WHAT YOU ALL SAY! NBC RENEW IT ALREADY. The Orville

The Orville comes off as a live-action passionate Sci-Fi comedy from Seth MacFarlane. In its sophomore frame, the show delivered its capability as an audience generator when it doubled its 18-49 viewership in simply a week. Fox has now; however, fewer hours for scripted originals. Hence, accommodating an hour-long comedy is undoubtedly a problem. Cancelled TV Shows, Renewed TV shows, The Orville Cancelled Or Renewed, Fam Cancelled Or Renewed, Murphy Brown Cancelled Or Renewed
