The Expanse Season 4: Everything You Need To Know, Release Date, Plot, New Characters, Trailers

In this so-called platinum era of TV, the rule is simple: If a show is good, it will survive. No matter how many Fox networks bring their daggers to the battlefield, there will always be enough NBCs to rescue the deserving ones. In fact, if a show is good enough like You, it may even get transferred to a more popular streamer or network, where its merits are justified. When Jeff Bezos stepped in to save the show that Syfy had slain, circumstances changed for Amazon Prime Video and consequently The Expanse. The Sci-Fi series, which people love more than X-Files, will soon return for a Season 4 on its new streaming service, Amazon Prime – a move that will probably open the Academy doors on the Got-in-the-making. The Expanse Season 4 Release Date

While there is no official confirmation as to what release date Amazon Prime has set for The Expanse Season 4, sources cite that it will be sometime in 2019. Syfy had cancelled The Expanse back in May 2018 after three seasons. But Amazon quickly saved the series after fans demanded a Season 4.

Amazon largely kept the details about the filming of the new season under wraps. But when the cast and crew celebrated a wrap-up party in February, we were able to conclude that the filming had completed by January. Shows take around six months between the end of production and actually going on air. And if we are to take cues from that, we can expect the show to go on the screens by fall.  The Expanse Season 4 Amazon Prime, The Expanse Season 4 Release Date, The Expanse Season 4 Cast, The Expanse Season 4 Trailer, The Expanse Season 4 Plot

Since the show is on Amazon now, we can expect all of its 10 episodes to come out together on the same day as The Expanse Season 4 release date.

Has Amazon Aired A Trailer For The Expanse Season 4?

Amazon is yet to unveil a trailer or even a teaser for The Expanse Season 4. Although, there are videos over on its YouTube channel that share glimpses from the sets of the new season.

The show did not air a trailer for its third season until only a month before its premiere. It is unlikely that Amazon would follow a similar schedule since the service is known for dropping teasers and trailers ages before the show actually arrives. Amazon had released the first teaser for Good Omens back in October 2018, and the show is still yet to air!

The Expanse will release a companion book as a part of its merchandise in October-an affirming nod to the release date speculation. Thus it seems like The Expanse Season 4 trailer will be out in August or July. Hence, promoting both the show and its book simultaneously.

The Expanse Season 4 Cast

The characters who survived the end of Season 3, will all return to The Expanse Season 4. This won’t happen, of course, without a few new entries. Sleepy Hollow fame Lyndie Greenwood will join the series as Dr. Elvie Okoye, while Burn Gorman (Torchwood, Pacific Rim) will play security chief Adolphus Murtry. Lily Gao and Rosa Gilmore have also joined the cast in undisclosed roles. What Is The Plot Of The Expanse Season 4?

As confirmed by showrunner Naren Shankar, The Expanse Season 4 will follow Cibola Burn. The book is the fourth part of James S.A. Corey’s volume. As per the book’s plot, The Expanse Season 4 will completely take place on a new planet Ilus. It will; however, not leave The Earth, Mars, and The Belt behind either.

Amazon is currently the only exclusive place to stream The Expanse before its Season 4 comes out. For fresh viewers; thus, it is important to stream the first 3 seasons on Amazon before they can jump to watch the show’s Season 4.
