Stranger Things’ & Lord of the Rings’ Sean Astin Will Appear Brooklyn Nine-Nine

Stranger Things’ fame, Sean Astin will appear in the April 25 episode of NBC’S cop comedy, Brooklyn Nine-Nine.

The plot of “Ticking Clocks,” in fact showcases Jake (Andy Samberg) and the companion detectives trying hard to locate a hacker who is intentionally generating chaos on the Nine-Nine servers. Astin, thus, portrays a sergeant KNOX who is involved in the search. He supports the detectives in the NYPD Cyber Operations Unit.

Entertainment Weekly has announced the entry of Sean Austin in Brooklyn Nine-Nine through a recent Tweet.

Sean Austin Helped Rescue Brooklyn Nine-Nine

Last May, the actor stroke social media platforms to demand a second chance against the demolition of Brooklyn’s cancellation by Fox. The series then emerged on NBC for the sixth season

Obviously, in the response of such a heartfelt Tweet, Dan Goor, (Brooklyn Nine-Nine co-creator) appreciated the actor for his support.

 

Apparently, Goor himself is a huge Sean Astin fan:

“Working with Sean Astin has been a dream of mine since I saw first saw Rudy, I’m what you call an Astin-head. When he tweeted his support for Brooklyn Nine-Nine as a member of the Guardians of the 99, I was blown away. I’m so excited to have him on the show.”

Guest Stars In Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 6

It seems that the show honors it’s supporting fans by offering them a guest role in the new season. Lin-Manuel Miranda, in fact, has played the brother of Amy (Melissa Fumero) previously in the show.

As a matter of fact, Brooklyn Nine-Nine returns this Thursday, after a two-week pause. B99 Season 6 resumes with Jake and Amy’s anniversary celebration at the hospital. The couple, however, was standing beside a patient. They were actually protecting a comatose witness (Julia Sweeney).

NBC’S Revived Cop Comedy

NBC has introduced a brand-new version of popular police comedy Brooklyn Nine-Nine season six. This half-hour of humor casts Andy Samberg and Andre Braugher in their iconic cops roles. The series is a Winner of a Golden Globe Award for Best Comedy Series. It is created by  Michael Schur and Dan Goor. NBC also announced that there was going to be a seventh season of Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
