Hayley Kiyoko Discusses Great Experience in GLAAD Awards

T he popular singer and songwriter Hayley Kiyoko attended the GLAAD Awards this year. Well, this award show probably does not immediately strike like the Emmys, Grammys or even iHeart Radio Music Awards. But the GLAAD Awards are equally important; they honor media for their accurate and fair representation of the LGBTQ community and the different issues that affect the daily lives of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender individuals.

Hayley who attended the award show as a guest this year has been pretty impressed. She has narrated her experience publicly differentiating it from other glamorous nights. But looks like this one is definitely standing out!

Hayley Kiyoko Feels Amazing As She Attends GLAAD Awards 2019

The singer took to Instagram to share a few red carpet pictures, and backstage moments from the night. Alongside the photographs, Hayley wrote a heartfelt post describing how it felt to attend the award ceremony. Apparently, she was filled with pride as she arrived, and this emotion does not even come close to what she usually feels when arriving at such events. When attending other award shows or related huge events, Hayley Kiyoko often felt ostracized and excluded. But she did not blame it on anyone acknowledging that she usually does that to herself. However, the GLAAD Awards were very different.

Kiyoko claims that the energy throughout the night was very positive and warm. She not just felt safe, but also supported and understood as all those surrounding her believed in her journey of music. The singer describes her experience of the night as cool, and it’s a feeling that she will never be able to forget. She thanked GLAAD Awards for an amazing night, adding that her smile was beaming throughout. Well, that’s pretty evident in all the event pictures!
