Is KJ Apa Releasing New Music?!

0 169

Even though we can’t quite make sense of the musical from the latest episode of Riverdale, we are all sure of one thing: this cast can really sing! The main cast including KJ Apa (Archie),  Camilla Mendes (Veronica), Lili Reinhart (Betty), Cole Sprouse (Jughead), Casey Cott (Kevin), Madelaine Petsch (Cheryl), Vanessa Morgan (Toni) and of course Ashleigh Murray (Josie), have time and time again showed how multi-talented they are. But it seems like the KJ Apa is taking his musical talents beyond Riverdale.

KJ Apa just posted a mysterious picture on Instagram where he is holding a guitar and appears to be in a recording studio. The caption reads, “Coming Soon”.

What is Coming Soon?

The only hint of KJ Apa’s new musical journey is just this post so we don’t have enough information as of yet. Though, it does seem like the New Zealand actor is going to release new music on his own that won’t be a part of Riverdale’s musical episodes. Perhaps, KJ Apa is working on a complete new album as well? That would be pretty exciting news!

Apa Member of the Musical Group Good Time Boys

The musical group consists of Apa himself, Rab Raco (who plays Jaoquin on Riverdale), Josh Wypers, and Bradley Merryfield. The actor’s Instagram stories featured other members of the Good Times Boys jamming alongside him in the studio! So, it’s safe to assume that new music is the band’s collective effort.

Will Apa Pay Tribute to the Late Luke Perry With His Music

We’re hoping he dedicates one of his new songs to Luke Perry. Perry played KJ’s on-screen dad, Fred Andrews. The actor died from a stroke at the age of 52 earlier this month. Apa has posted some heartfelt tributes to the late actor, and we’re hoping he releases a song in his memory too.

Has KJ Apa Released Music Before?

Keneti James Fitzgerald, or KJ, has become a popular name only after he got a role as Archie Andrews on CW’s Riverdale. Before this, he has acted in Shortland Street as Kane Jenkins, The Cul De Sac and The Hate U Give. He has only sung in Riverdale’s eight episodes, one of which, Big Fun came out just this week.

His other musical endeavors consist of him releasing a debut album in 2011 on iTunes. He has even collaborated with Kygo and Shawn Mendes in the past.
