T he popular actor Hugh Jackman is all set to return to Broadway in 2020. And that too, for the first time in a decade with the revival of Meredith Wilson’s iconic The Music Man. Fortunately, he has already given fans a sneak peak into what we should expect. With an Instagram clip featuring his impromptu performance, Jackman has stolen hearts everywhere.
Hugh Jackman Already Rehearsing For ‘The Music Man’
Although its a year and a half ahead, Jackman seems to be doing well. In the latest Instagram video that he posted, Jackman single-handedly played the parts of eight salesmen talking about the scam artist Harold Hill to the beat of the train they’re on. And looks like he really is on top of the game. Because he delivered an impeccable performance with good touches to the camera and a final dramatic clap of hands.
He captioned the post saying that it was from Grammar School to the Great White Way.
The Tony Award winner and Oscar nominee Hugh Jackman is all set to play Harold Hill in a new staging of the Meredith Willson musical. The Broadway show is directed by Jerry Zaks. And performances will begin September 9, 2020, ahead of an October 22 official opening.
In past interviews, Jackman has expressed that he’s auditioned for high school shows with a rendition of “Rock Island.” In 2014, he rapped the song with L.L. Cool J and T.I. at the Tony Awards.
