How A Meeting With Henry Winkler Almost Made W. Kamau Bell Cry

While Henry Winkler’s Fonzie from Happy Days was a household name back in 70s, people today know him better as the Emmy winning supporting actor on HBO’s Barry. After an illustrious career in the industry, Winkler landed his first ever Primetime Emmy for his performance in Barry. And now that Barry Season 2 is even less than 2 weeks away, Winkler is honing his claws for yet another Academy honor.

Recently Winkler had a guest over for breakfast. And the Barry star left him in complete awe with his adorable persona. The United Shades Of America fame stand-up comedian W. Kamau Bell met with Winkler. And by the end of the day, he could not keep himself from crying.

W. Kamau Bell In Awe Of Henry Winkler

Henry Winkler, who will soon return to screen space with Barry Season 2 on HBO, has found himself a devoted fan in W. Kamau Bell. In fact, Winkler and his wife treated Bell’s family so well that Bell went on to write that,
“He and his wife were the nicest people to my kids.”
Henry Winkler too became fond of Bell’s family. And it is very evident from where he write:
“Breakfast sighting. W. Kamau Bell and his beautiful family.”

W. Kamau Bell also remarked how Henry Winkler almost made him cry with his cute baby face. That face is exactly every reason why other celebrities including D’ Arcy Carden and Kid Cudi also had their fan moments around Winkler.

Happy Days Reunion: Henry Winkler And Ron Howard Recollect Old Memories

After meeting W. Kamau Bell, Henry Winkler also shared a banter with old pal Ron Howard on Twitter. Ron was at a comedy pilot read through at Burbank. There he noticed a picture of him and Winkler hung up in the halls of ABC. Howard quickly posted the picture on Twitter.

Subsequently, Winkler acknowledged the gesture as he wrote “Nice to see you Ron….”.

Henry Winkler is clearly very excited to reprise his part as Gene Cousineau on Barry Season 2. The Emmy winning sitcom will return to HBO on March 31st. And even before it goes on air, Barry Season 2 on HBO has found its fans in senior editors and critics like The Collider’s Drew Grant. 

HBO’s cult comedy Veep is also back in the race with its final season. So, the competition has only become stiffer for Barry Season 2 on HBO.
