Daniel Gillies Mourns With His Native Country New Zealand
Daniel Gillies recently shared his thoughts on the massive shooting this Friday in his native country New Zealand. The Islamophobic terror attack on two New Zealand mosques has caused 49 casualties and left several injured. Daniel shared his support both on Instagram and Twitter.

All the celebrities and global public figures have also shared their condolences following the massacre in Christchurch, New Zealand. Daniel Gillies’ patriotism has earned respect from his fans all over the world. We hope and pray New Zealand is back to its feet soon. As Daniel once said:

Shooter’s Anti-Muslim Manifesto
Brenton Harris Tarrant is the identified shooter behind the New Zealand mosque attacks. New Zealand Prime Minister’s office received his anti-Muslim manifesto minutes before the attack. The document is 87 pages long and full of hatred against Muslim community. Brenton was live-streaming the shootings on Facebook and the video got viral. Facebook, YouTube and other social networks have reportedly taken down the videos from the networks.

Daniel Gillies was born in Canada to New Zealand parents. He was five when his family moved to New Zealand. Daniel moved to LA in early 2000s and started his acting career. He is famous for his role as Elijah Mikaelson in The Vampire Diaries and the spin-off The Originals. He has worked alongside Ian Somerhalder, Nina Dobrev, Paul Wesley in The Vampire Diaries.
