Riverdale’s Luke Perry Died In California At The Age Of 52
Riverdale fame, actor Luke Perry died in California at the age of 52. The actor suffered a lethal stroke last week. Perry was reportedly surrounded by his family and friends when he took his last breath on March 4th 2019, Monday.
Actor Luke Perry Suffered A Stroke
Last Wednesday, the actor’s family called para-medical staff at his home in Sherman Oaks, Los Angeles. Doctors at Saint Joseph Medical Center Burbank, however, tried their best to save the actor. They even sedated him to let his brain survive from the perils of stroke, but, failed. The brain damage, in fact, was too severe to recover.
The whole family were around him when he left this fatal world. The people surrounding the patients include Perry’s kids, Jack and Sophie, ex-wife Minnie Sharp, mother, step-father, his siblings, Tom Perry and Amy Coder, and his fiancée Wendy Madison Bauer.
Perry’s Iconic Roles
Luke Perry, played the famous character of Dylan McKay on the hit series Beverly Hills 90210, Moreover, the actor has also gained immense popularity via his CW’s Riverdale as Fred Andrews. Perry won a supporting role in Joss Whedon’s Buffy ‘The Vampire Slayer (1992)’.
The teen sensation, reportedly, became the talk of the town when 10,000 young girls swarmed in the Fashion Mall at Plantation. In August 1991 these teenager girls flocked together to get an autograph of Luke Perry. In addition, the actor got recognition for his roles in ‘Terminal Bliss’ and ‘8 Seconds’.
Luke Perry Was Recently Performing In Riverdale
Actually, before the incident of this terminal stroke, the actor was busy working for CW’s series, ‘Riverdale’. According to news from the US. Media: following the announcement of his death, Riverdale’s team has stopped their production.
In lieu, Riverdale’s executive producers, Warner Bros TV and the CW network stated a consolidated remark about Luke “a beloved member of the Riverdale, Warner Bros, and CW family”.
Tribute From Celebrities
Shannen Doherty – who played Perry’s love on “Beverly Hills 90210, got emotional on his costar’s demise.
“I can’t talk about it here ’cause I will literally start crying but I love him and he knows I love him. It’s Luke, and he’s my Dylan.”
Gabrielle Carteris another actress from Beverly Hills, 90210 mourned on his untimely death. In her statement to CNN, she said
“I am absolutely heartbroken. Luke was a tremendous force in the lives of so many. Luke was a very sensitive soul who was kind, generous and he fought for the underdog. He was a strong voice and an advocate who will be so missed by all who knew him. He has left his mark — never to be forgotten. My heart goes out to his family, friends and fans around the globe.”
