Superwoman Proud of Hassan Minhaj for Not Playing Cricket

T he very popular Lilly Singh who is more common as Superwoman recently took to Instagram to praise the American comedian and television host Hassan Minhaj. Although you might expect that Minhaj did something huge, the actual reason is slightly different. Apparently, he is breaking stereotypes and that’s probably equally great.

Why is Superwoman Proud of Hassan Minhaj?

Lilly Singh added a picture with Hassan Minhaj on Instagram from the NBA all-star game. And added in the caption while she was really proud of him. She referred to him as her son, and added that she was proud because as a brown man, he chose to play a sport other than cricket. For a long time now, cricket has been considered as the only official or possible sport played by brown people in Asian countries. Or probably, the only sport that they are good at playing. But Minhaj according to Superwoman has made a big achievement by opting for something else.


Superwoman or Lilly Singh is a Canadian actress, comedian and YouTube personality. In 2010, she was 10th on the Forbes list of World’s highest paid YouTubers with a total earnings of $10.5 million. And this time, she actually expressed that she was not satisfied with the Forbes list. She has also featured in YouTube rewind every year beginning from 2014. Her prominent works include Bad Moms, Ice Age and A Trip to Unicorn Island. 

Hassan Minhaj is an American comedian, actor, writer and television host. He rose to major prominence after he became a senior correspondent on The Daily Show from 2014 to 2018. Other famous works of Hassan Minhaj include Patriot Act with Hassan Minhaj, The Spy who Dumped me, and Disaster Date.
