And talked about toxic masculinity and accountability. The three-day global event brought out many innovative ideas on women movements. But the remarkable speeches made by entrepreneurs, activists and celebrities delivered powerful messages. And if anything, Crews has left everybody stunned with the message that this world probably needed the most in these crucial times when humanity is falling apart.

Terry Crews Delivered a Powerful Message at Makers Conference 2019

Terry Crews took to Instagram to share a clip of his speech from Makers Conference 2019. And undoubtedly, it has to be one of the finest few lines that you could ever hear. During his speech, Crews shared that he went to rehab and therapy, and that’s when he started to understand what brought him down. And then, he apologized for it. But that’s not it, he also took accountability for who he was. He said that he knew he had to make amends because saying sorry alone was not enough. The actor then gave an example claiming that sorry was equivalent to hitting someone with a car and then apologizing for it only.

Terry Crews claimed that a lot many apologies these days are hit and runs. But what people really need to do is make changes and be accountable for what they do. He added that accountability is something we can not afford to lose.

What Happened at Makers Conference 2019?

The Makers Conference is a 3-day long event which gathers more than 600 participants to accelerate the women’s movements. Speakers narrate stories of real life experiences which ignite passion and the urge to make a change among other. This year, at Makers Conference 2019, many political figures like Hillary Clinton and celebrities like Jameela Jamil made bold statements. In fact, while talking about sex, Jameela Jamil got pretty real with the boys. She encouraged women to tell men that technical consent is not the gold standard. The event’s Twitter account shared a clip of the message she delivered quite boldly.

Other celebrities like Jennifer Garner talked about the greatest feminist movements in Hollywood like the Times Up which brought down famous producers and actors.

Terry Crews is an American actor, activist, artist and former football player. He is probably most famous for his work in the popular cop-comedy Brooklyn Nine-Nine. And other famous works would include America’s Got Talent, White Chicks, and Everybody Hates Chris. Recently, Terry Crews went viral over the internet when he got in on the Egg Challenge by adding his bald head to the competition when Kylie Jenner lost her record to an egg.
