Kanye West to Sue Jay Z’s Former Record Company
The very popular rapper Kanye West is looking to attract some attention again. And this time because he has two lawsuits running against his name. One of it is directed right at Jay-Z’s former record label Roc-a-Fella Records. And the other one is against Kanye’s own music publishing. Apparently, both legal documents are probably demanding right for the West. And in fact, as per the documentation, Kanye’s help assisted Jay Z in reviving his career. But by no means is that lawsuit directed at Jay Z. The rapper has made it clear, and well, his fellow singer no longer has shares in Roc-a-Fella- he sold all those out nearly a decade ago!

Kanye West Has Filed Lawsuit Against Jay Z and his Record Label Roc-a-Fella
Kanye West has directed one lawsuit at his friend Jay Z and his former record label by the name Roc-a-Fella. The motivation for the lawsuit is “regarding the parties’ rights and obligations to one another under the Recording Agreement and Extensions.” In the suit, the Heartless rapper claims that he’s signed an exclusive agreement with the record label. But there isn’t more information about the matter now. However, it’s still clear that the Stronger singer is requesting a court to declare his rights over Roc-a-Fella Records so that he can be get his rightful money.
The lawsuit also mentions the role that Kanye plays in Jay-Z’s album Blueprint. And has credited Kanye with helping in revitalizing his friend’s career. But representatives for Kanye have immediately cleared that the lawsuit does not target Jay Z. Apparently, the rapper has already sold his shares in Roc-a-Fella Records and that too, almost a decade ago.
Kanye West has also sued the music publishing company he has been working with from the very start- EMI Publishing. Looks like the rapper is really not happy with the way things have been in the market!
