Mindy Kaling Thinks Kelly Kapoor Probably Murdered Ryan In The Office Universe
The good thing about when Mindy Kaling talks is that there is always a lot of creative insight and moral lessons to be obtained. With absolute wit, the queen successfully covers a range of topics appreciating the changes, and occasionally lampooning the wrongs in the system. In a recent interview with Variety, Kaling exclusively talked about how far had she and the entire premise of national sitcoms come ever since the American version of the Office wrapped up. Mindy Kaling was mainly associated with the greatest sitcom of all times on an executive level. But that was not it. Apart from being a writer on the office Mindy also portrayed resident gossip expert Kelly Kapoor on the show.
Mindy Kaling Talks About The Office Reboot
Ever since The Office formally exited American Television fan have been craving for either a reboot or a spin-off. Weighing in on the odds of a hypothetical return of the cult comedy Mindy said that she would love to work with the team again. Mehndi found experience working with Greg Daniels professionally enriching. And for that reason she would love to participate in his future ventures. Both as an audience and as a creative team member.
“I think that anything Greg Daniels decided to do, I would watch and love and want to help him with”.
What? Kelly Kapoor Killed Ryan Howard!
Mindy also got candid about her character Kelly, she wasn’t very optimistic about the scope for the character’s return. Kaling joked that Kelly is probably in jail for murdering Ryan.
“There is not an insignificant part of me that thinks that Kelly might be in jail,” “Crime of passion?”
The Office had created it’s ardent fans quite well in its series finale. Kelly Kapoor (Mindy Kaling) and BJ Novak Ryan Howard ended up together much to the amusement of every viewer that had tuned into The Office over the years. Very unfortunately; however, Kaling does not predict a bright future for the couple today.
“I don’t want to say that she murdered Ryan, but I am also not convinced that he’ still alive in the world of ‘The Office.’ It’s been 11 years, right?”
In these 11 years, it isn’t only this is come format that has seen a noticeable change. Much of the work that happens behind the screen now secretly departs from the work that used to happen at the executive level when the office was on air.
How Has The Writers Room Changed Over The Years
Kaling penned down the ingenious Office episodes with a set of different dynamics against a distinct work environment. And the pressing issues addressed vary from the topics we talk about today.
“The way that writers’ rooms look now versus when I started at ‘The Office’ in 2004 is night and day. I was the only woman of color on our staff or the entire run of the show I think, but things have changed a lot since then. We are just demanding more inclusive storytelling. We want to see ourselves reflected. When I was coming up, I didn’t even think I was owed that”.
Mindy recognizes and applauds. the greatest sense of inclusion that characterizes the America of the 21st century
