The popular American singer Bebe Rexha has been having some issues with designers. Well, you wouldn’t imagine that she would. After all, designers love to dress stars up to walk the red carpets for them- it’s free publicity! But despite the usual compliments that these celebrities like Scarlett Johansson or Jennifer Lawrence might receive from designers, Rexha was bodyshamed. Apparently, the singer’s body has been labelled too big to be dressed up by these designers. But Rexha was not going to let the female body police get away that easy. She hopped on Instagram to clap back her response slamming these designers and telling people to love their bodies. And well, whatever these designers may say, Bebe Rexha is still going to the Grammys. But that too, with two nominations!

Bebe Rexha Claps Back With Perfect Response to Bodyshaming

For the upcoming Grammy Awards, you would normally think that designers would jump at the opportunity to dress up a female celebrity with 2 nominations. But unfortunately, as far as Bebe is concerned, designers passed on her. And labeled the I’m a Mess singer ‘too big’. That might be something very common for women to hear. But Rexha was not going to tolerate bodyshaming and clapped back with the perfect response.

In an Instagram video, she slammed these designers asking people to love their own bodies. The Say My Name singer said that designers who chose to pass on the 6-8 size that she wears were alienating all women who were not ‘runway size’. She added that,

If a size 6-8, is too big, then I don’t know what to tell you. Then I don’t want to wear your $#@! dresses. ‘Cause that’s crazy. … You’re saying that all the women in the world that are size 8 and up are not beautiful, and they cannot wear your dresses.

In her caption with the video, she urged people to empower women to love their bodies rather than making them feel ashamed of their size. Bebe Rexha added that all women were beautiful regardless of their size. And well, she closed teasing designers that her size 8 ass was still going to the Grammys.

Everybody including celebrities like Demi Lovato have appreciated Rexha’s response to being bodyshamed.
