First Transgender Superhero About To Appear On Supergirl Soon!

TV history is about to be made next month folks! The first-ever transgender superhero will brace our TV screens on Supergirl. This brilliant superhero is going to be allying up with Supergirl aka Kara in the battle against xenophobic Children of Liberty. The character actress Nicole Maines will be playing is of Dreamer. Her character’s real name is the exotic Nia Nal.

Here’s the first look of Nia Nal aka Dreamer!

The episode in which she will make her first appearance is Menagerie. We will be seeing that episode air on February 17th in the United States of America. More of her origin story will be revealed in January 27th’s episode Blood Memories. The show will give us a look into Nia’s family and the strength of her powers. Furthermore, the audience will also witness the many difficulties our Dreamer superhero has to face.

Nicole Maines is a proud transgender and finds it a huge honor that she can give her people the true representation they deserve. Consequently, we are beyond glad the LGBTQ community is finally getting its chance to shine on the screens.

Moreover, Nicole Maines is a real-life hero as well. She garnered a lot of recognition internationally for battling with a Maine Law that denied transgenders from using the bathroom of their own choice. Thanks to her transgender people can have gender-free bathrooms.

It’s just the kind of positive energy we want to see alongside Kara! The show has already set itself apart by giving us a main woman superhero lead in Supergirl. Adding in a transgender superhero to the mix really makes things even better.
