No one knows how 2019 is going to pan out, especially since Donald Trump still refuses to end the government shutdown and Theresa May got voted out in her Brexit deal. Yes, the world is in a bit of a mess right now. But you know what? Rick and Morty Season 4 is coming to help us forget all the darkness this world has to offer us. Unfortunately, it’s just 7 months too late. Here’s everything we know about the Adult Swim animated series’ season 4.

Rick and Morty to Air on Channel 4 in the UK

When Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon first created Rick and Morty in 2013, it just aired on Fox for two seasons. Then Netflix obtained the license to allow us binge-watchers a chance to fall in love with this hit sci-fi sitcom. Shortly after, it was available for people to watch on Comedy Central as well. But somewhere in last year there were talks that Netflix didn’t renew it’s license of Rick and Morty and might have to remove it from their streaming service. Hopefully, that did not happen. But fans from the UK would be ecstatic to hear that the animated series will start airing on Channel 4 in the UK. The airing is set to primeire from February. Other shows of Adult Swim such as Bob’s Burgers, Robot Chicken, The Shivering Truth, FLCL and Off the Air might possibly come on Channel 4 in UK as well.

Rick and Morty Season 4 Coming in August!

Amidst all the crazy teasers of highly anticipated season of the animated series, we have some good news. Justin Roiland stated that they officially started production of season 4.

“It’s exciting, it’s a little surreal. Even just being in the writer’s room for half the day every day this week, the ideas are … it’s going to be great.”

In the finale of season 3, we saw Beth leaving her normal life to soar into the wild and embark on crazy adventures like her mad scientist of a father Rick Sanchez. Sarah Chalke was indeed a perfect choice for voicing this complicated character, who finally got more attention.

Bardel Entertainment is the animation studio that’s been animating this adventure packed sci-fi sitcom. An animator there Eric Bofa Nfon is also the animation supervisor for Rick and Morty. And he gave us good news, tweeting how recently they’re back to working again!

In September of 2016, the writers of the show Erica Rosbe and Sarah Carbiener talked about how they had finished writing for season 3. Consequently, we got to see the season 3 premiere in March of 2017. Hence, it’s clear that Bardel Entertainment takes approximately seven months So, taking into consideration this time bracket, we can expect to see Rick and Morty to blow our minds away sometime around August.

Seven months of us anticipating will definitely make us empathize with Mr. Meeseeks. Meanwhile, we can try to figure out if Rick Sanchez is the better antihero or Bojack Horseman in Netflix’s Bojack Horseman.
