Kanye West Decides to Quit Coachella
By the looks of it, Kanye West is taking some great attention-seeking tips from his wife’s family- the Kardashian clan. The rapper was all set to headline the Coachella this year. But he decided to quit it because he demanded the festival builds a dome stage for him to rock out. And when the request was refused, the disagreement arose. Although the management executives had genuine reasons to now allow him his request, West finds no reason to be associated with the event now. And believes that he is a creative artist who needs to be granted what he demands. But Coachella fans, don’t be disappointed. The festival has already replaced West, and you are going to love their choices! Ariana Grande and Childish Gambino will headline this year’s event. And it’s official already!
What Made Kanye West Pull Out of Coachella Before He Was Announced As Headliner?
Just two days before Coachella was going to officially announce Kanye West as this year’s headliner, the rapper decided to quit. Apparently, he requested for a dome stage built in the center of the venue. And that too, in collaboration with his designer John McGuire. But the organizers had to turn this down explaining that four months was too less to build such a stage in the middle of the venue ground. It would require rearranging the whole festival site. And removing a whole bunch of toilets from there. But West responded saying he was an artist with a creative vision who did not need to have this discussion.
The co-founder for Coachella Paul Tollett has already found a great replacement for West. Ariana Grande was in talks to headline the event. And it has been confirmed that she’ll take the spot along with Childish Gambino. It was announced on January 3rd. And it’s also official that The 1975, Solange, Khalid, Janelle Monae and Chvrches will also take up the stage this year. Looks like the festival this year will be in tough competition with that of last year. Grande and Gambino have to just be great to beat what the headliners did last year. And topping up Beyonce, Eminem and The Weeknd will be no easy task!
Looks like deciding to quit Coachella will be a loss only for Kanye West!
