The popular YouTuber PewDiePie who is currently battling Bollywood company T-series in an attempt to remain the most viewed YouTuber is now facing another controversy. He has landed in trouble again as he promoted a YouTube channel that posts antisemitic content. Although his promotion video did not contain any related content, his efforts made that particular channel gain 15,000 subscribers. But this definitely is not the first time that PewDiePie has done something similar. The star has had a taste for controversy for too long now. Previously, he has been involved in feuds or rough comments like joking about Demi Lovato’s drug addiction. Previously, he has also criticized the media for portraying him as antisemitic when he claims that he is not. And this sharing of this antisemitic channel has pushed a lot many people over the edge.

PewDiePie Back in Trouble Over the Antisemitic Label

PewDiePie has recommended an antisemitic YouTube channel to his fans, and many people online are not happy with it. In the latest edition of Pew News, he gave a shoutout to YouTube channels that he likes watching. And that included E;R or also known as “EsemicolonR”. E;R is an essayist who often includes anti-Semitic, sexist, homophobic, and cruel language in his videos. This obviously brought some great news for this small YouTube creator whose channel got almost 15000 new subscribers now that PewDiePie mentioned them in their video. However, critics did not let it go, and the popular YouTuber is in hot water for promoting antisemitic content.

Apparently, videos from this antisemitic channel that PewDiePie enjoys are disturbing. They have been using neo-Nazi and Nazi propaganda which could not be good exposure to children. Fans and other YouTube stars slammed PewDiePie for either promoting antisemitic channels or for giving shout out without really knowing what he was bringing forward.

This definitely does not remain the first time that PewDiePie has attracted controversy antisemitism. Last year, Disney cut all ties with the YouTuber after he posted videos with Nazi imagery. And even paid people to hold up signs that said “Death to all Jews” and “Hitler did absolutely nothing wrong”. However, PewDiePie made a whole speech clearing that this was intended as a joke. And that he does not support such people. He claimed that,

As laughable as it is to believe that I might actually endorse these people, to anyone unsure on my standpoint regarding hate-based groups: No, I don’t support these people in any way.

Will this make him lose some followers and eventually lose to T-series?
