Early Christmas Present: Ellen Has Netflix Stand-up Special
It seems like we’re getting our Christmas present very early this time around! Ellen Degeneres has a new stand-up special for us titled “Ellen: Relatable”. The trailer offers us into what we can expect and it’s little anecdotes and whimsical stories that we adore hearing from the stand-up comedienne. Her effortless charm and genius wit will surely keep the audience and us roaring in laughter for the entirety of the Netflix stand-up special. We can expect nothing but the best from this woman.
Though, knowing Ellen Degeneres and her kind soul who is never afraid to be vulnerable on the screens also opens up about the time when she came out on her sitcom “Ellen” as gay and lost her sitcom show. The talk-show host clarifies how painful it was and the fact that it took her 3 years to come back on TV. And we’re truly grateful that she did!
Where would we be if not for Ellen’s insightful interviews, hilarious and ruthless pranks on her celebrity guests and entertaining little segments such as “In Your Facebook” and “What Were they Thinking” and of course who could forget “Heads Up“.
However, she had been primarily focusing on her show Ellen: The Ellen DeGeneres Show, and Ellen’s Games of Games. She was even busy being an executive producer on the show “Splitting Up Together”. But fans surely missed her on the stage just doing simple stand-up. She started her comedy act in the country back in the 1980s. In 2000, HBO aired her first ever special Ellen DeGeneres: The Beginning. In 2003, she came out with a second one and that’s also when she started her first ever talk show. But we lucked out as get to see her back on the stage!
