Amy Schumer Announces Launch of ‘Le Cloud’
On Wednesday, Amy Schumer revealed some details about her upcoming retail brand Le Cloud. She collaborated with her personal stylist Leesa Evans to bring out this clothing line. She claims that her aim is to empower women of all ages and sizes. And that’s the reason they decided to create this beautiful clothing line which is accessible to real women. Amy Schumer further added that all Le Cloud customers would feel confident and powerful in these dresses. But most importantly, the collection is not going to leave people begging for money for the rest of the month. Amy Schumer says that they have tried to keep the prices as low as possible without compromising on any quality. The comedian joked that,
Most things are under 100 and they are forever pieces. But we will be using the skin of children to make the material for our ponchos. Cool?
Le Cloud will have a 23-piece collection which will range in price from $38 and go up to $238 for items like cashmere coats. The collection is inclusive because Amy Schumer did not want it to be only for people who earn $100,000 a year or over. She added that most of her friends were either nurses and teachers and mothers so they could not afford pricey designer stuff. So basically, she made sure that Le Cloud was affordable to the actual people in her life.
Currently, Le Cloud has a collection that ranges from sizes XS to XXL which adds up to a maximum size of 20. But Amy Schumer claims that it is going to go up to 40 eventually. It will be offered exclusively at discount designer clothing retailer Saks Off Fifth.
The brand will not just produce dresses that make women feel good about their shape. But it will also donate to a noble cause. Thirty percent of net proceeds will be donated to the nonprofit Community Partners to support Stylefund. Stylefund is an organization that came into existence with the assistance of Schumer and Evans in 2016. And the goal is to help women embrace their bodies and style.
Le Cloud will officially launch on December 13th.
