Amber Heard Career In Danger After Johnny Depp Trial

Aquaman actress, Amber Heard’s career is in great jeopardy due to the legal case going on with her ex-husband Johnny Depp. The former couple met on the set of ‘Rum Diaries’ in 2011. They were caught in a quick romance leading them to marriage in 2015. They divorced in 2017 due to serious issues in marriage. Currently, they are standing against one another in court for a defamation case filed by Johnny Depp. Both Amber Heard and Johnny Depp’s careers have been affected by their separation and the current legal case going on in their lives.

The current trials in the court are due to the opinion article Amber Heard wrote in The Washington Post. The article talked about women being abused by men. The name of the article was “I spoke up against sexual violence- and faced our culture’s wrath. That has to change“. It was published in December 2018. Heard did not mention Depp’s name but it was clear that Heard was pointing toward Depp. Due to this, Depp’s reputation got destroyed. Furthermore, Disney dropped him from the fifth installment of ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’. Depp is suing Heard for dollar 50 million for defaming his image. On the other hand, Heard is suing him for dollar 100 million. The current trials have exposed the most shocking details of the relationship between these two Hollywood stars.

Is Heard’s Career Over?

The recent trials do not seem to go in the favor of Amber Heard much. Furthermore, netizens especially the Twitter community seem to be standing with The Pirates Of The Caribbean star Johnny Depp. Melani cosmetics also debunked claims of Heard’s lawyer that she covered her scars with their product. Furthermore, a petition is going around against Amber on change.org to remove the actress from an upcoming movie. The petition has received more than 2 million signatures. The petition is to remove Amber from Aquaman 2 which is set to release in 2023. No official statement from the filmmakers has been given. However, people believe it can be an end to Heard’s career.
