The Adam Project’s Walker Scobell Will Play Percy Jackson!

Disney+TV is bringing Percy Jackson to life. Rick Riordan is the writer of the famous Percy Jackson books and also executive producer of the adaptation. He announced the good news on Monday that he has found the perfect actor to play the main character. The excitement for ‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ led Rick Riordan to write:

The excitement is so thick you could cut it with a Celestial bronze sword.

The Percy Jackson movies are about a little boy who is a demigod (the son of Poseidon) yet he has no idea. Finding a good actor who could play Percy as 12 year old boy was significant. And Walker Scobell who played Adam Reed in the Netflix’s ‘The Adam Project’ seemed to be the perfect choice.

Walker Scobell as ‘Percy Jackson’

The talented little actor Walker Scobell who got famous from his work in ‘The Adam Project’ will be displaying his talents as Percy Jackson. On Monday, Rick Riordan announced this news while stating:

Walker Scobell is an incredibly talented young man who blew us away with his audition tapes for the roles of Percy. Many of you recently discovered how great Walker is when you watched his movie The Adam Project, in which Walker lit up the screen as a younger version of Ryan Reynold’s character. We were fortunate enough to audition Walker months before that movie came out, but the film already confirmed what we knew about his talent.

Walker Is A Jackson Fan

Walker Scobell is greatly being admired by the people who have casted him and now fans too. They believe they have found a gem because Walker knows what he’s doing as he have read the books and know the characters well. Rick said:

It was obvious to me and the rest of the team that Walker had the perfect mix of comedic timing, sweetness, rebelliousness, snark and heroism to embody our hero Percy Jackson.

Currently, Percy Jackson is trending on Twitter.

Fans are loving the casting choice because he knows the story and is enthusiastic about the books.
