After almost 17 years in the X-men franchise, Hugh Jackman finally chose to retire from his badass character as Wolverine. But will fans, and especially Ryan Reynolds let him leave it all behind that easily? Seems difficult since the Reynolds is adding in maximum effort to pull Jackman out of retirement. And that too, for a very special reason. Ryan Reynolds is looking forward to a Wolverine and Deadpool crossover, but Hugh Jackman is sticking by his word. Now that Reynolds dug deeper into action calling out Jackman with some fighting words on Twitter, things are bound to get a lot more interesting here.

Deadpool and Wolverine Get Messy…

Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds worked together on X-Men Origins: Wolverine. And ever since then, Reynolds has been trying to launch a solo Deadpool movie without any luck. Prior to Origins, Reynolds was told if he agree for a cameo in Origins, some other actor would be considered for casting. So, without any choice, Ryan Reynolds took up the part relying on the hope that this might lead to a Deadpool spinoff in the future. And well, years later, we have two Deadpool movies and undoubtedly, both have been massive hits in the industry.

After Hugh Jackman decided his retirement following his 2017’s Logan, Reynolds is all set to tempt his co-star into reprising his role as Wolverine. But now that Jackman is all put, the Deadpool actor took a few shots at him on Twitter. Maybe it was just needed an outlet for his exasperation or maybe he needed a reaction from Jackman?

Ryan Reynolds claimed on Twitter that Hugh Jackman was no longer allergic to selfish. And only because he put an end to his role as Wolverine. But the actor’s already 50, maybe we should just cut him some slack.

Hugh Jackman Refuses To Come Back

By the looks of it, seems like Reynolds is not the only one desperate to have Jackman back as Wolverine for a crossover with Deadpool. Fans are also eager to see the costars reunite with a new movie. And in fact, the Deadpool producer and writer also made a plea to Jackman on Instagram. In his post, he not just endorsed the idea of a cross over but insisted him to consider reprising his role for just this last glorious adventure.

However, nothing has been working on Hugh Jackman who completely stands by his initial decision of retirement after playing Wolverine in 8 X-Men movies. In reality, he even believes that a Wolverine/Deadpool crossover is not something fans want to see. Clearly, he is wrong here but he ruled out the possibility saying,

Ryan is relentless. He keeps coming back to me in all these ways, shapes and forms, I just said, ‘You know, I just don’t think the world really wants to see Deadpool with Wolverine.’ Maybe a cameo from Deadpool? I just think it runs over it for Deadpool.

Apparently, no amount of insults or requests from Ryan Reynolds will bring our Wolverine back another time!
