We all know by now that no Marvel film is complete without a post-credits scene. In fact, that trend has caught on to a significant number of other films as well. People are so accustomed to it that they deliberately sit through the credits of almost every movie they watch. And of course, Spider-Man: No Way Home was no exception to the rule. It also featured a very interesting post-credits scene that has everyone confused. So, what did the No Way Home post-credits scene actually mean?

What Does The Spider-Man: No Way Home Post-Credits Scene Mean?

Right at the end of Spider-Man: No Way Home, we see Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock trying to talk to a bartender in an attempt to make sense of where he was. Clearly, he was one of the villains who made it into the MCU because of Doctor’s Strange spell. Inside Brock’s head, Venom was again wreaking havoc as he always did. But then, Doctor Strange’s second spell kicked in and Brock was teleported back to his own universe. However, in doing so, a small part of the Venom Symbiote was left behind in the MCU.

Now, Marvel’s post-credits scenes are never without their purpose. That much is clear since the first Hulk movie, which no one cares about. But the No Way Home post-credits scene is special in the sense that it now introduces Venom to the MCU. However, there are a few complexities that Marvel will have to deal with in order to make that character a success.

Who can become Venom in the MCU after watching Spider-Man: No Way Home post credits scene?

The thing is Sony’s Venom movies haven’t been critically acclaimed. But, Tom Hardy‘s take on Brock and his chemistry with Venom are largely adored. They both gel together perfectly and make some actually funny scenes. Therefore, finding a replacement for Hardy is going to be a bit of a tough ask for Kevin Feige. However, there’s a chance that Marvel may already have a new host in mind for Venom. And it may even have made an appearance in the MCU. Therefore, there could be more behind the No Way Home post-credits scene.

The character we’re talking about is Mac Gargan, who briefly appeared in Spider-Man: Homecoming. He usually is the alter ego of Scorpion in most Spider-Man comic books. However, he has also been the host of the Venom Symbiote in past comics. That could mean that the MCU already has a Venom host waiting for future movies. But, it would be truly epic if Marvel actually got a hold of Tom Hardy and make a Venom movie of their own. But, with Sony involved in all this, it looks very unlikely for that to happen. Nevertheless, the Spider-Man: No Way Home post-credits scene has pretty much introduced another interesting character to the MCU. And considering the future of Spider-Man in the MCU, Venom would be a welcome addition.
