After the first season, people wondered if Bridgerton season 2 will come out.

When Regé-Jean Page left the show, people wanted to know about the future of Bridgerton. After many speculations, Shonda Rhimes set the record straight about Bridgerton season 2. According to her, there are eight Bridgerton siblings. Therefore, there will be eight seasons and maybe beyond that as well. Shortly after the end of first season, Netflix announced Bridgerton season 2. On social media, Lady Whistledown announced:

“I can’t wait to share this season of Bridgerton with you, it’s been a complete joy. I’m so proud and so excited for you all to see it. See you in 2022/1814. Yours Truly, Lady Whistledown.”

While Simon Basset will not be the focus of the show, Anthony Bridgerton is all set to make us fall in love with him.

After Daphne Bridgerton and Simon Basset’s love story ended happily, the show will focus on her eldest brother. In Bridgerton season 2, Anthony played by Jonathan Bailey, will try his luck in finding true love. While talking about it, Phoebe Dynevor said:

“We’re very much passing on the baton to the lovely [Jonathan Bailey], who plays Anthony, and that will be the main story line of season 2 and the story arc of season 2. The show centers around the Bridgertons, and there are eight books. And I think maybe the fans of the books were more aware of that happening than the fans of the show.”

Previously Ashley has played Olivia in Sex Education, another super hit series by Netflix. In the announcement made by Netflix about Bridgerton season 2, it reads:
