Millie Bobby Brown was the latest guest at the The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. They talked about various things including Millie’s work, her movie, shows, cereal shopping and of course her new role as the youngest UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador.
Stephen Colbert Gets the Blue Treatment
Millie Bobby Brown came out to The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Millie came dressed in UNICEF garb. That included a black UNICEF tee, blue shoes and more prominently, blue nail color. When Stephen asked her about being the youngest ambassador, she was excited. She is presently working for the United Nation’s International Children’s Emergency Relief Fund.
Millie’s Role as the Youngest Ambassador
Stephen asked her about her role as the youngest Ambassador at UNICEF. She mentioned that it was mostly an honor to be selected. As a child, she’s very passionate about making people acknowledge children rights. She added that it was also important to educate children about their rights.
What Millie is Excited About at the UNICEF
Millie said that she was very happy. She expressed that the organization gave her freedom of speech. There were times and people who won’t let her talk, Working with UNICEF will let her talk about the things she believes in.
Matching with Millie
Stephen complimented Millie’s nail color. It was the official UNICEF blue color. Millie Bobby Brown told him that she will have to paint his nails the same blue. So they will match with each other. Not only that, Stephen will also be supporting her GO BLUE campaign for children’s right. They held up their hands to show the matching nail color once she was done.
Millie Bobby Brown-Youngest UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador
Millie Bobby Brown has been appointed as the youngest UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador. She made the announcement on her Instagram.
She also spoke at UNICEF about Children’s Rights and elaborated why UNICEF mission is important.
GO BLUE Campaign-Children’s Day
She also starred in a GO BLUE campaign ad. The ad showed her talking about adults and children going blue for children’s rights. The ad included some other celebrities and UNICEF Goodwill Ambassadors. That included, Liam Neeson, Lilly Singh, Dua Lipa and Orlando Bloom.
The campaign is collecting signatures for a UNICEF cause. it will go through on November, 20th. Which is Children’s Day.
Among Other Things
Millie clarified why she posted a crying selfie from the Stranger Things set. She said that she was an emotional person. She was crying because she would have to say goodbye to friend Sadie Sink. More importantly, the catering team. Millie Bobby Brown also said that crying selfie did not mean that it was the last season of Stranger Things.
Millie Bobby Brown also explained a normal day in the city. That included silent selfies, she is running errands at the supermarket. Bought a lot of Cookie Crunch Cereals because it’s her favorite.
While painting Stephen’s nail, she talked about Spice Girls. She said she was excited about their reunion.
