Travis Scott claims he didn’t hear anyone crying for help during Astroworld tragedy

After the Astroworld tragedy, Travis Scott has sat down to give his first interview. According to him, he did not hear any crying or screaming from the crowd. At the same time, he claimed that raging is his way of hyping the crowd. However, it is not a dangerous practice. Similarly, he claimed that it was like any regular show for him. In November, 10 people died during his Astroworld festival. Meanwhile, people accused him of enticing the riots which led to the stampede.

After the Astroworld tragedy, Travis Scott offered to pay for funerals but the families rejected

During the Astroworld festival, 10 people lost their lives and more than 300 were injured. According to eyewitnesses, he encouraged people to start riots and violence. Therefore, a stampede began which resulted in the tragedy. The people who died during the festival are between the ages of early teens to early twenties. Among them, the youngest person to die was 9 year old Ezra Blount. After the tragedy, Travis Scott offered the families to pay for the funerals of the deceased. However, all families rejected his offer and refused to take his money for that.

Since then, he has faced lawsuits worth $2 billion but he is planning to take no responsibility

While people did reject his offer to pay for funerals, almost 300 people have filed lawsuits against him. Along with Travis Scott, Drake, Apple Music, and Live Nation are being sued by the victims of the Astroworld festival. So far, they are facing lawsuits worth $2 billion. However, Travis Scott is denying taking responsibility for the tragedy. In fact, Travis Scott has submitted a plea to dismiss 11 lawsuits cases on basis of general denial. At the same time, he has requested the judge to respectfully dismiss these cases with prejudice.

In order to talk about the Astroworld tragedy, he sat down with Charlamagne Tha God. During the interviews, Travis Scott addressed the deaths, lawsuits, and his part in all this. He said:

“Anytime you can hear something like that, you want to stop the show, you want to make sure fans get the proper attention they need. And anytime I could see anything like that, I did. I stopped it like a couple times to just make sure everybody was okay. I really just go off of the fans’ energy as a collective and I just didn’t hear that.”

Furthermore, Travis Scott said:

“It’s 50,000 people … you got lights, you got sound, you got [pyrotechnics], you got your in-ears, you got the band, there’s all types of stuff going on. Everything kind of just sounds the same. At the end of the day, you just hear music. In concerts, we’ve grown [raging] to be just the experience of having fun. It’s not about harm. It’s about just letting go and having fun, you know, help others and love each other. The show isn’t just rambunctious for an hour, that’s not what it is.”

Despite his claims, Travis Scott is being canceled on social media. At the same time, the lawsuits are piling up with every passing day. let’s see how this fiasco ends.
