After 10 years, Little Mix feel like they need a break

The group shares that they want some time to spend time on other projects. However, they remain utterly grateful for their fans and supporters who stayed loyal to them.

“It’s been 10 amazing years, a wonderful non-stop adventure, and we feel the time is right to take a break so we can recharge and work on some other projects. We can’t thank you enough for your love and never-ending support since the beginning. We love you all SO much.”

Little Mix at the moment consists of members Perrie Edwards, Jade Thirlwall and Leigh Anne-Pinnock. The group had another member, Jesy Nelson. But Nelson left the group in December 2020 citing mental health as the reason to leave.

Moreover, the group is adamant to say that they will return eventually

Fans don’t have to despair too much because Little Mix shares that they intend to return. They want to make even more memories with their followers and supporters.

“We’ve made so many incredible memories with you all, and we can’t wait to make so many more. We’re sisters and we’ll always have each other and you, the fans, in our lives. Little Mix is forever.”

They have had a successful run ever since they got their career start from The X Factor in 2011. Little Mix was originally known as Rhythmix, but they had to change the name after a legal dispute.

Little Mix has had multiple songs ranking No.1 on music charts globally and in the UK. The especially popular ones are ‘DNA’, ‘Cannonball’ and ‘Change your life’.

In fact, they released their latest album last month ‘Between Us (The Experience)’ that contained their greatest hits. It was after members of the band, Perrie Edwards and Leigh Anne-Pinnock had babies.

Many fans were supportive of Little Mix’s decision to take a break:

But some were worried that they might not return:

Well, we have seen other popular music groups take an indefinite hiatus and never come back. Looking at you Fifth Harmony and One Direction.

Let’s see if Little Mix is different from them or not. After all, we did see Jonas Brothers reunite in 2019 after a tough split! Never say never, right?
