Jesy Nelson Kisses Former Bandmate Leigh Pinnock’s Ex-Boyfriend Lucien Laviscount
Everyone knew the famous band Little Mix who became the most popular girl British bands who also got their start from ‘The X Factor’. They enjoyed plenty of success for quite a few years and are going strong. But Jesy Nelson left the group in 2020 after saying she was unhappy with the band. Nelson shared that being with the band was taking a huge toll on her mental health.
Jesy Nelson was seen kissing Leigh Anne-Pinnock’s ex-boyfriend Lucien Laviscount
The former Little Mix bandmate was seen getting quite cozy and flirty with Emily in Paris actor Lucien Laviscount. Laviscount has dated another Little Mix member Leigh Anne-Pinnock in 2012, who is now with soccer player Andre Gray. They recently had twins together.
Now, Jesy and Lucien were photographed kissing together. But apparently, Nelson regrets the move. The musician is embarrassed that her flirtatious encounter was photographed.
However, a source close to Jesy shares that nothing serious is going on between them:
“Jesy and Lucien met up on a night out after two friendship groups came together and took a rickshaw to the club but left separately. She was letting her hair down on a Saturday night and is embarrassed her flirtation with Lucien has come to light – but there is nothing more between them.”
Moreover, Jesy Nelson is also making the claim that she and Lucien actually didn’t kiss and it just appears that way in the photos.
“Jesy is single. She and Lucien were at separate clubs on different nights out, but shared a rickshaw ride across London.”
Jesy Nelson recently broke up with boyfriend Harry James but the two exes remain on good terms. The singer shared with Guardian that she isn’t looking for another relationship anytime soon. Jesy prefers staying single and focusing on herself.
The departure from Little Mix was on good terms
Jesy Nelson cited mental health reasons as a reason why she was taking an exit from the girl band Little Mix. She was leaving the girl group after almost a decade. Right after she left the group, she shared that she was very unhappy with other members of Little Mix such as Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall.
“I constantly compared myself to the others. Of course, a lot of that was in my head, but a lot of it was past trauma. Even recently, I was still getting compared to them. It’s horrible when you already don’t like something about yourself to then have thousands of people point it out. Now I feel like me. When I look back [at my time] in the band, I genuinely wasn’t me. I can’t believe how miserable I was. And I didn’t know that I could be this happy.”
Jesy Nelson assumed it was “normal” to feel so anxious all the time:
“I thought when I was in the group that it was just normal to feel that way. And because I’d felt like that for 10 years, I just thought, ‘This is life.’ Since I’ve left, I feel free. I don’t wake up with anxiety, thinking, ‘I’ve got to do a music video today, I need to starve myself.’ Or, ‘I need to go on an extreme diet so I can look like the other three.’ That was consuming me.”
She shared that used to feel quite anxious while being around the group and filming music videos was especially mentally draining for her.
The remaining three members of Little Mix’s Edwards, Pinnock an Thirlwall parted with Nelson on good terms.
“This is an incredibly sad time for all of us but we are fully supportive of Jesy. We love her very much and agree that it is so important that she does what is right for her mental health and well-being.”
Jesy Nelson got involved in a black phishing scandal
Black phishing is when a person drastically changes their skin tone to make it darker in order to appear Black. Jesy Nelson has been often accused of black phishing in order to get more attention.
Jesy Nelson recently denied ever doing it
“If you look at me on ‘X-Factor’ with my big curly hair, I was wearing trainers and combats. That’s who I am as an artist and as Jesy. Now I’m out of Little Mix, I’ve gone back to being who I am. Like I said, I don’t ever want to be an artist who’s being told what to wear. Or what music to make. I want to be authentic and true to myself, and if people don’t like that, don’t be my fan. Don’t be a part of my journey.”
As for the claims that she was black phishing and being offensive by stealing an identity that wasn’t hers and capitalizing on it, she said:
“I take all those comments made seriously. I would never intentionally do anything to make myself look racially ambiguous, so that’s why I was initially shocked that the term was directed at me.”
It was around this time that other members of Little Mix had unfollowed Jesy Nelson. But it’s unclear whether the black phishing scandal was the reason behind it.
