Recently, Grammy nominations 2022 were announced. Officially, this year’s award show is known as the 64th Grammy Awards. Interestingly, the artists who dominate the nominations are more or less expected. With the most nominations, Justin Bieber, Billie Eilish, Lil Nas X, Olivia Rodrigo, and Jon Batiste are on the top. According to reports, the Recording Academy made last-minute changes to the nominees. They have included Kanye West and Taylor Swift in all major categories.

Few days back, The Recording Academy announced the Grammy nominations 2022

On 23rd November, The Recording Academy which is behind the Grammy Awards announced the Grammy nominations 2022. The CEO, Harvey Mason Jr., and Chairman, Tammy Hurt held a live stream to make the announcement. While the event itself took place at Grammy Museum in LA, people could watch it on all social media platforms of the Recording Academy. During the event, Jon Batiste, BTS, Gayle King, H.E.R, and Carly Pearce were among the presenters. After revealing the list of Grammy nominations 2022, the venue for the award show was announced which is Crypto.com Arena. Meanwhile, the show is happening on 31st January.

Although it’s not the first time, Justin Bieber is having a great year. With Grammy nominations 2022, he earned eight nominations in all the main categories. At the same time, Doja Cat and H.E.R also have eight nominations each. Billie Eilish is also topping the lists for her album, Happier Than Ever. Meanwhile, Jon Batiste has eleven nominations, making him the headlining artist. Although his solo album, We Are, is the main source of these nominations, it is the soundtrack of Pixar’s Soul which also earned him a name on Grammy nominations 2022. In the new artist’s category, Olivia Rodrigo has also emerged as an incredible addition. However, she is not limited to the new artist category. Her album, Sour, turned out to be a great competitor for established artists. Interestingly, Recording Academy added Kanye West’s Donda and Taylor Swift’s Evermore in all categories at the last minute.
