Travis Scott and Kylie Jenner react to Astroworld Tragedy

Over the weekend, a tragic incident took place at Astroworld Festival by Travis Scott. After a stampede broke out, eight people were killed and more than 300 were injured. While many have come forward with the backlash against Scott, Kylie Jenner is defending him and herself in a statement. According to her, no one knew about the fatalities until after the news came out. Along with her, other Kardashians are also expressing their shock over the news.

On Friday, eight people lost their lives after attending Travis Scott’s concert.

In 2018, Travis Scott introduced Astroworld Festival which included many artists and rappers. While it was postponed due to the pandemic, it came back this year again. On Friday, the opening night of the festival was held in Houston. During the concert, more and more people tried to get closer to the stage. This resulted in people pushing and shoving each other. Therefore, many people were not able to breathe. Shortly after, people tried to run out of the venue. Right when Travis Scott came out on the stage, a stampede broke out. Unfortunately, eight people lost their lives and more than 300 are still recovering from injuries.

After the incident, many accused Scott of continuing the concert despite the tragedy.

In a video that is circulating on Twitter, Travis Scott can be seen singing and hyping up the crowd. Meanwhile, the paramedics are carrying an unconscious man to the ambulance. At the same time, people are begging him and the organizers to stop the performance. However, Travis was seen to not have noticed it at all and kept singing. While many are claiming that the singer knew exactly what was happening But some of his fans claim that he did not. Similarly, he has faced massive backlash on social media. People are calling him evil and vile for continuing his performance despite the tragedy.

In order to clarify their situation, Travis Scott and Kylie Jenner have issued statements.

After the backlash, Travis Scott and Kylie Jenner, who was also at the festival, have issued statements. Kylie is pregnant with the singer’s second child. In order to defend herself and her partner, she said:

“Travis and I are broken and devastated… I want to make it clear we weren’t aware of any fatalities until the news came out after the show and in no world would have continued filming or performing. I am sending my deepest condolences to all the families during this difficult time and will be praying for healing of everyone who has been impacted.”

On the other hand, Travis Scott posted an emotional video on Instagram and said:

“My prayers go out to all the people who we lost last night. We’re working to identify the families who were affected. I wasn’t aware of the severity of the situation. Anytime I could make out, you know, anything that’s going on, you know, I stop the show and, you know, help them get the help they need. I’m working with authorities to try to get to the bottom of this. I’m honestly just devastated, and I could never imagine anything like this happening.”

At the same time, Travis Scott ensured his fans that he is working closely with the Houston PD to find the real reason behind the tragedy. The incident has really impacted the people in the worst possible way. Unfortunately, the youngest person to die was only 10 years old. Hopefully, the police will be able to find out the reason and get to the bottom of it.
