The period of 2017-2018 was rather a slow year for several magnum opera. This year’s Emmys saw several big players like House of Cards, The Veep, Better Call Saul, and Gotham sitting out essentially because their seasonal breaks took longer than they ever had. Similarly last year, The Games Thrones was absent from the Emmys race owing yet again to an extended seasonal break. The upcoming months; however, will see a huge change in terms of creative streaming. With the House of Cards walking out disgracefully, the axe now awaits the final seasons of Games of Thrones, A Series of Unfortunate Events, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Gotham any many more  So here is a condensed roundup of the release date, cast,  and character comebacks of the upcoming seasons of several returning shows.

Game Of Thrones Season 8 Release Date

Games of Thrones Season 8 is yet to receive an official release date. However, HBO has confirmed that the show will be back for its final season in April 2019. The final season will consist of 6 episodes as compared to the regular 10 episode orders. All episodes of the Games of Thrones Season 8 will be more than sixty minutes long. Director David Nutter has himself confirmed these developments recently.  As for the character comebacks, Games of Thrones Season 8 will see the return of direwolves, including John Snow’s Ghost, which were missing from the screen last season.  Actress Sophie Turner says that the Games of Thrones Season 8 will walk out with ‘A Lot of Tears’. The show creators are certainly ensuring that no secrets are leaked.

A Series Of Unfortunate Events Season 3 Release Date

A Series of Unfortunate Events Season 3 is also gearing up for an unhappy ending. The release date for the final season of A Series of Unfortunate Events is out. The show will debut its last and final season 3 on January 1st, 2019 on Netflix. The episodes following the season premiere will unravel the truth about the mysterious deaths of the Baudelaire orphans’ parents. The final season of A Series of Unfortunate Events will continue the narrative of Lemony Snicket (Patrick Warburton) and Olaf (Neil Patrick Harris). With only a few days left until the release date of A Series of Unfortunate Events Season 3, there is a layer of profound apprehension about the season climax.

Gotham Final Season Trailer and Season 5 Release Date

HBO has renewed Silicon Valley for a sixth season, but there will be production delays. Reports suggest that the production of Silicon Valley Season 6 will not commence until Summer 2019. Hence the show will not hit the TV screens until Early 2020.  Gotham Season 5 has just aired the trailer for its final season. The release date for Gotham season 5 is 3rd January 2019 Danny Cannon has described the final season as something like a ‘reboot’. The trailer too hints towards cataclysmic climactic occurrences.
