Carole Baskin is suing Netflix for Tiger King season 2

Recently, Netflix released the trailer of Tiger King season 2. Once again, we will see Carole Baskin, her husband, and all the usual characters. While the fans eagerly wait for the new season, Baskin is not thrilled at all. After the trailer was released, she decided to sue Netflix and Royal Goode Productions. According to her, she did not authorize the use of any of her footage for season 2. So far, Netflix has not responded to the lawsuit.

Last year, Netflix made the quarantine a bit easier with the release of Tiger King.

With Tiger King, Netflix gave us a glimpse into the crazy world of big cat sanctuaries and their owners. Although the documentary series started with a focus on private zoos, it took another turn very quickly. Throughout the documentary, we met the quirky zoo owners who took the center stage. While Joe Exotic had an eccentric lifestyle, Carole Baskin has a life worthy of a thriller film. From the beginning, Carole Baskin captured our attention with her unusual dressing sense and confident smile. At the same time, her rivalry with Joe and the unsolved case of her ex-husband’s disappearance kept us on the edge of our seats.

Similar to the first season, Tiger King season 2 will have eight episodes. At the same time, it will have the usual people including Joe Exotic, Carole Baskin, Howard Baskin, Jeff Lowe, Tim Stark, and Allen Grover. Although Joe is in the prison for a murder attempt at Carole Baskin, he is still an integral part of season 2. While the documentary will focus on these characters, it will also highlight the disappearance of Baskin’s ex-husband, Don Lewis. The second season will premiere on Netflix on 17th November.

Carole Baskin Is Suing Netflix For Tiger King Season 2

According to the lawsuit, Carole Baskin only signed the release forms for appearing on the first season of Tiger King. Big Cat Rescue owner and her husband, Howard Baskin feel that Netflix has breached the contract. Along with Netflix, they have also sued Royal Goode Productions. In the lawsuit, Carole Baskin demands:

“By utilizing the film footage of the Baskins and Big Cat Rescue secured by Royal Goode Productions under the Appearance Releases in ‘sizzle reels’ and promotional trailers for the sequel entitled Tiger King 2, the defendants are in breach of the terms of the Appearance Releases.”

While the media outlets have reached out to Netflix, they have not responded yet.
