I don’t know if it’s the density of the population [or something else], but there is this [feeling of[ humanity which is very present (in India). Because of the nature of (the country), be it on the trains or in the streets, you feel right [when you are] together.

Angelina Jolie is one of the most renowned humanitarians across the globe, and even her movies reflect her stances

Angelina Jolie first visited India back in 2006 to shoot her film A Mighty Heart. During that time, she also got to enjoy the country as a tourist, taking a ride in an auto-rickshaw (a famous local transport service). Moreover, she also got to meet Afghan and Myanmar refugees. But that is just a small part of her illustrious work as a philanthropist and human rights activist. She is a goodwill ambassador and also a special envoy for the UN High Commissioner for Refugees. In fact, she makes sure each project that she takes on mirrors her principles and stances of being a humanitarian. And that was why she decided to give Marvel’s Eternals a try. She said:

The themes of representation, diversity, and sisterhood are very important to me. It is also the reason I agreed to make the film, Eternals. They explained to me this vision (of expanding the Marvel universe with these themes), and I felt that I wanted to be a part of this family like I want to be a part of this family in the world.

In the end, Angelina Jolie talked about just how important diversity is and how it helps everyone to learn from each other. She concluded by saying:

I hope this is now the beginning of what is new normal in films and we see much more of it.
