Although Hollywood couples break up all the time, some breakups hurt more than others. Similarly, Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid‘s split has shocked the world. While they have been an on-again, off-again couple from the start, this time things got messy. According to reports, Malik and Hadid’s mother had an altercation. It led to former One Direction members hitting Yolanda Hadid. Shortly after the news went viral, he issued a statement. Malik and Gigi Hadid share a one-year-old daughter, Khai.

After he broke off his engagement with Perrie Edwards, Zayn Malik started dating Gigi Hadid

The rumors of the couple dating came out just three months after Malik’s engagement ended. In November 2015, Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid made their first public appearance. However, they still pretended to be just friends. In 2016, Hadid starred in Malik’s music video of Pillow Talk. By April, the fans had started referring to them as Zigi. That same year, the IT couple made their red carpet debut at the MET Gala. In 2017, Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid appeared on a couple of Vogue covers to solidify their relationship. However, it did not long last and their first breakup happened a few months later. Interestingly, the split last a total of one month, and Zigi was back together. Once again, they made their relationship social media official and Hadid also spent time with Malik’s family. In 2019, the couple took another break from each other, only to be back again a few months later. In 2020, they made headlines when they announced Gigi Hadid’s pregnancy and the arrival of their daughter, Khai.

Recently, they announced their breakup after Malik had a fight with Yolanda Hadid

According to sources, Gigi Hadid’s mother became the reason for her breakup with Zayn Malik. After several discussions, Yolanda Hadid did not get a hint that the couple might need privacy. The insiders informed that she kept making appearances at their house unannounced and uninvited. This led to some tensions between Yolanda Hadid and Zayn Malik. While talking about it, the sources said:

“Zayn felt that Yolanda was getting in the middle of things. Both very committed to working together to co-parent Khai and love her with all their hearts.”

At the same time, Gigi Hadid’s mother has accused Zayn Malik of hitting her. When Gigi was not home, Yolanda showed up. This led to an argument between Malik and Hadid. After the incident, Yolanda emphasized that Malik had hit her.

At the same time, Zayn Malik wished to keep a peaceful environment so that he can co-parent his daughter in a manner that she deserves. In another statement, Malik adamantly denied the allegations made by Yolanda and said:
